Virtual Residency

Our ARCAthens Virtual Residency program (AVR) provides financial and institutional support to promote our Fellows and encourage a new dialogue through our multiple digital platforms. Our Fellows are selected through nomination and invitation. Launched in 2020 as a response to the COVID 19 pandemic, the AVR features artists and curators from Greece and the Bronx in conversation for one month posting daily on Instagram.  The nominated curator chooses the participating artists and mediates weekly meetings among them, while the artists work with social media as their medium to create a bridge between the two vibrant communities.

(Due to Covid19, the following two programs are currently being rescheduled for 2022)

Athens Residency

Our Athens Residency provides Visual Art and Curatorial Residency Fellowships of fully-funded live/work spaces that allow artists, curators, and scholars to be immersed in-and consequently respond to–the ongoing cultural renaissance taking place in Athens. Currently, our Fellows are selected through nomination and invitation. An open application process is under development for Fall 2022, please check back for further information, or join out mailing list to receive our updates by clicking here.

ARCAthens Residency at EPI

Our ARCAthens Residency at EPI is a partnership with Lafayette College’s EPI (Experimental Printmaking Institute) extending opportunities to our Fellows for a printmaking residency at their historic printshop located on the Lafayette College campus, in Easton, Pennsylvania. Fellowships are awarded on an invitational basis.
