Eleni Riga

Eleni Riga is an independent curator, writer and cultural producer. Her practice focuses on the intersection of feminism and ecology and the politics of care.
 
Previously, she worked as an Assistant Curator and Catalogue Coordinator at the solo solo Case_L by Georgia Sagri at Friart, Fribourg in Switzerland, 12-Month Intern at the Adult & Academics Programs at MoMA in New York, director of  the Contemporary Art Department of Eleusis 2023- European Capital of Culture and  curatorial assistant at documenta 14 both in Athens and in Kassel.
 
Αs an independent curator and writer, she has collaborated with many institutions (Tender Arrangements, Noucmas, Athens; Crossroads, Radical Empathies, New Monuments, Commemorating Amnesia at Callirrhoe, Athens; Occupy Art Project #3, New York, Going where we come from, Geneva). 
 
In 2023, she is curating a four-month international exhibition and public program on social and environmental change related to water entitled the “Office of Hydrocommons” at ATOPOS cvc in Athens, Greece.
 
Currently, she is a fellow at Onassis AiR by Onassis Foundation with the project « The sound of eudaimonia » in collaboration with Manolis Manousakis. She was selected for the following residencies: G .& A. Mamidakis Foundation, Agios Nikolaos;  40mcube Rennes, France and ARCAthens, Bronx, NY.  
 
In 2022, she completed the professional course Curatorlab at Konstfack University in Stockholm. She holds a master’s degree in curatorial studies from Panthéon – Sorbonne University in Paris and a bachelor in Communication, Media and Culture from Panteion University in Athens.
